The Maharashtra government has approved an extension of Metro Line 5A at an estimated cost of Rs 4,063 crore, adding a key link to Sindhu Nagar in Ulhasnagar. The project aims to improve suburban connectivity in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR) by integrating underserved areas into the metro network.
This infrastructure development is expected to boost real estate demand in Ulhasnagar and surrounding areas, as improved connectivity typically translates into higher property values and increased buyer interest. Peripheral areas of MMR like Panvel, Kanjurmarg, and Virar have already seen a surge in real estate activity due to similar metro expansions.
